Ingredients

4 medium russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, bacon bits

Instructions

Prep the Potatoes: Start by scrubbing the russet potatoes under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a towel.

Prick the Potatoes: Using a fork, poke holes all over the potatoes (about 6-8 times) to allow steam to escape while cooking.

Season: In a bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper until they're evenly coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Potatoes: Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through for even crispiness. The potatoes are done when a fork easily pierces through the skin.

Serve: Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Slice them open and fluff the insides with a fork. Add your favorite toppings like sour cream, chives, cheese, or bacon bits for extra flavor.
