Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the coating stick better.

Set Up Breading Station: In three separate bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, add the flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Bread the Shrimp: Take each shrimp and coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the beaten egg, letting any excess drip off. Finally, roll the shrimp in the panko mixture, pressing lightly to ensure a good coating.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Shrimp: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the breaded shrimp in a single layer without overcrowding; you may need to do this in batches. Spray the tops of the shrimp lightly with olive oil.

Cook: Air fry the shrimp for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until shrimp are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as cocktail sauce, spicy mayo, or sweet chili sauce.
