  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • extra granulated sugar for rolling

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and almond extract, mixing until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually combine with the wet mixture.
