Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)

½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Cheese: In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.

Add Sugars: Gradually add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the butter and cream cheese mixture, mixing until well combined.

Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Wet and Dry: Slowly add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

Fold in Apples and Nuts: Gently fold in the diced apples and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour Batter and Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Smooth the top and tap the pan lightly on the counter to remove any air bubbles. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cake: Once baked, remove the bundt cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Then, gently invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Make the Glaze: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. If the glaze is too thick, add more milk, a teaspoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.

Glaze the Cake: Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.

Serve: Slice and serve your Apple Cream Cheese Bundt Cake either at room temperature or slightly warmed. Enjoy!
