Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose black tea or black tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 whole lemon juice
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add the black tea to the hot water. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
  • Mash the blueberries in a separate bowl until well crushed.
  • Strain the steeped tea into a large pitcher to remove tea leaves or bags.
  • Add the mashed blueberries, honey, and lemon juice to the pitcher. Stir until honey is dissolved.
  • Cool the mixture to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.

Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey used.
