Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

8 breakfast sausages (link style)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped

1 large egg (for egg wash)

1 tbsp milk

Optional: hot sauce for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into individual triangles.

Add Cheese and Sausages: Sprinkle a tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese and some chives on the wider end of each triangle. Place a breakfast sausage on top of the cheese.

Wrap the Sausages: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll up each triangle around the sausage until fully wrapped. Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.

Make an Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg and milk together. Brush the mixture over each pig in a blanket for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with hot sauce on the side if desired. Enjoy your delicious breakfast treat!
