Ingredients

2 cups shredded cooked chicken

1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot)

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)

1/4 cup green onions, sliced

1 large loaf of ciabatta bread or French bread

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, hot sauce, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, blue cheese crumbles (if using), sliced green onions, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Prepare the Bread: Take the ciabatta or French bread and slice it in half lengthwise. If desired, hollow out some of the soft bread from the center to create more space for the filling.

Stuff the Bread: Generously spoon the buffalo chicken mixture onto each half of the bread, spreading it evenly. Make sure to pack it down a bit to hold the filling together.

Butter the Bread: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with a bit of garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the crust of the stuffed bread for extra flavor.

Bake: Place the stuffed bread halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is hot and the edges of the bread are golden brown. If you like a crispier top, you can broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then slice into individual portions. Serve warm, perhaps with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
