Ingredients

  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup creamy caramel sauce
  • 1 cup pecans finely chopped
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • a pinch sea salt

Instructions

  • Melt the unsalted butter in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring gently.
  • Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt.
  • Fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and press half of the mixture into the bottom.
  • Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the base layer and sprinkle with half of the pecans.
  • Spread the remaining Rice Krispies mixture over the caramel and pecans, pressing down gently.
  • Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with chocolate chips and remaining pecans.
  • Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  • Serve and enjoy the sweet, gooey goodness!
