Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup refried beans

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 package refrigerated pizza dough

1 egg (beaten for egg wash)

½ cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

½ cup sliced black olives

¼ cup chopped green onions

Cooking spray (for greasing)

Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess grease.

Stir in the taco seasoning and water as per the package instructions. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.

Spread the refried beans evenly over the dough, leaving a border around the edges.

Do the same with the cooked taco meat mixture, then layer the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese on top.

Add diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions evenly across the cheese.

Starting from one side, roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Pinch the edges to seal.

Cut the rolled dough into 1-inch thick slices and place them spaced out on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give a golden color when baked.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the taco sticks are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let them cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for dipping.
