  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup crystallized ginger finely chopped
  • Extra granulated sugar for rolling

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
