Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

Sear Meat: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze it.

Create Creaminess: Stir in the ranch dressing mix and heavy cream. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer.

Cheesy Addition: Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and the sauce is creamy.

Return the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts back in the skillet, making sure they are coated with the sauce. Cover and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle dried parsley over the top and garnish with sliced green onions if desired. Serve the creamy ranch chicken warm over rice, pasta, or with a side of vegetables.
