Ingredients

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 large egg, beaten

1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a large bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In a separate bowl, dip the chicken pieces in the beaten egg and then coat them evenly in the flour mixture.

    Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

      Fry the Chicken: Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally for even cooking. Remove the chicken and drain on paper towels.
