Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Start by patting the salmon cubes dry with paper towels. This will help them crisp up when cooked.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

      Coat the Salmon: Add the salmon cubes to the dry mixture, making sure each piece is fully coated.

        Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

          Fry the Salmon: Carefully add the coated salmon cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

            Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
