Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenderloins

2 cups Doritos (any flavor, crushed)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Cooking spray or oil for frying

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Rinse the chicken tenderloins under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk. In a third bowl, place the crushed Doritos.

Coat the Chicken: First, dip each chicken tender into the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Dip in Buttermilk Mixture: Next, dip the floured tender into the egg and buttermilk mixture, letting any excess drip off.

Crust with Doritos: Finally, roll the tender in the crushed Doritos, pressing down gently to ensure they adhere well.

Repeat the Process: Continue this process for all chicken tenders until they are fully coated.

Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to cover the bottom. Once hot, carefully place the breaded chicken tenders in the skillet. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

Drain Excess Oil: Remove the cooked tenders from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Serve: Enjoy your crunchy Doritos chicken tenders hot, with your favorite dipping sauce!
