Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons almond-flavored syrup
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • sliced almonds for garnish

Instructions

  • Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over cold water and letting it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan and heat until warm.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  • Add almond-flavored syrup and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into serving cups, filling them three-quarters full.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until set.
  • Run a knife around the edges to loosen before serving.
  • Invert onto a plate if desired and garnish with sliced almonds.
