Ingredients

20 large pasta shells

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 cups marinara sauce

Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Shells: Using a spoon, fill each pasta shell with the spinach and ricotta mixture. Set aside.

Assembly: In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom. Place the stuffed shells in a single layer over the sauce. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the shells and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and slightly golden.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
