8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti or fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.

    Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

      Creamy Mixture: Reduce the heat to low and slowly whisk in the heavy cream, stirring continuously until it starts to simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, then gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.

        Combine: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it well with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add in the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
