Ingredients

For the Turkey Meatballs:

1 pound ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 large egg

2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

1 cup Greek yogurt

1 medium cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Make the Tzatziki Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, dill, olive oil, and lemon juice. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate while you prepare the meatballs to allow the flavors to meld.

Prepare the Meatballs: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, oregano, onion powder, salt, pepper, and the egg. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix as this can make the meatballs tough.

Shape the Meatballs: Lightly oil your hands and form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet or plate as you go.

Cook the Meatballs: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey meatballs in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Use a spatula to gently turn the meatballs.

Serve: Once cooked, transfer the meatballs onto a serving platter. Serve warm with the chilled tzatziki sauce on the side as a dipping sauce. You can also serve them over a bed of rice, with pita bread, or in a salad for a complete meal.
