Ingredients

2 lbs pork loin

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Pork: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and salt. Reserve a small amount of the marinade for basting later. Place the pork loin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sear the Pork: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil and sesame oil (if using) over medium-high heat. Remove the pork loin from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off. Carefully place it in the hot skillet and sear on all sides for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

Bake: Once seared, pour the reserved marinade over the pork loin. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reads 145°F (63°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.

Baste the Pork: Halfway through baking, use a spoon to baste the pork with the sauce in the skillet. This will enhance the flavor and keep the meat moist.

Rest: Once done, remove the pork loin from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute for a flavorful and juicy outcome.

Slice and Serve: Slice the pork loin into thick slices. Drizzle some of the pan sauce over the top and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
