Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried linden blossoms
  • 4 cups water
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cup honey or agave syrup
  • lemon slices for garnish
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add the dried linden blossoms.
  • Cover the pot and steep the blossoms for about 15 minutes.
  • Strain the tea into a large pitcher, discarding the used blossoms.
  • Stir in honey or agave syrup while the tea is warm until dissolved.
  • Mix in the freshly squeezed lemon juice thoroughly.
  • Cool the tea to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
  • Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and fresh mint leaves.
