Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef or ground turkey

8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup chopped fresh jalapeños (adjust to taste)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup crumbled bacon (optional)

1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until browned. Drain any excess fat and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Remove from heat and set aside.

      Mix the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well until everything is smoothly blended.

        Add Jalapeños & Bacon: Fold in the chopped jalapeños and crumbled bacon (if using) into the cream cheese mixture.

          Layer the Casserole: In a 9x13 inch (or similar size) casserole dish, layer the cooked meat evenly across the bottom. Spread the jalapeño cream cheese mixture over the meat, smoothing it out evenly.

            Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the jalapeño mixture, ensuring it covers the entire surface.

              Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

                Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro before serving.
