Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 each bell pepper
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 8 large lettuce leaves
  • to taste sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef or turkey, breaking it apart and seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté for 5-6 minutes until tender.
  • Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese over the mixture and cover to melt for 2-3 minutes.
  • Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of a lettuce leaf.
