1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp ginger, grated

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 egg, beaten

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

For the Spicy Mayo Dip:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp gochujang

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp honey (optional, adjust for sweetness)

Instructions

Prepare the Meatball Mixture:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, beaten egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

      - Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

        Form the Meatballs:

          - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

            - Using your hands, form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

              Bake the Meatballs:

                - Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

                  Prepare the Spicy Mayo Dip:

                    - In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, gochujang, lemon juice, honey (if using), and a pinch of salt. Adjust the spice level according to your preference.

                      Serve:

                        - Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.

                          - Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with sesame seeds and accompanied by the spicy mayo dip.

                            Enjoy:

                              - Enjoy these flavorful Korean BBQ meatballs as a snack, appetizer, or main dish with some rice and kimchi on the side!
