Ingredients

2 cups of all-purpose flour

1 cup of Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or non-fat)

1 tbsp of baking powder

1/2 tsp of salt

1/4 cup of everything bagel seasoning

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

1 tbsp of sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

1 tbsp of poppy seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended.

Add Greek Yogurt: Add the Greek yogurt to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Using a spatula or your hands, mix until a dough starts to form.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 2-3 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Shape the Bagels: Divide the dough into equal portions (approximately 4-6 depending on size preference). Roll each portion into a long rope, then shape into a circle, pinching the ends together to seal.

Prepare for Baking: Place the shaped bagels onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Season: Generously sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the tops, and add sesame and poppy seeds if using.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bagels are golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy fresh or toasted!
