Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated croissant dough (8 large triangles)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 egg (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure even distribution of ingredients.

Unroll the Croissant Dough: Open the package of croissant dough and carefully unroll the triangles on a clean surface. If the dough is perforated, do not tear it apart yet.

Add the Filling: Take a generous spoonful of the cheese and pepperoni mixture and place it at the wide end of each croissant triangle.

Roll the Croissants: Starting from the wide end, roll the dough over the filling tightly towards the pointed end. Seal the edges gently but securely.

Prepare for Baking: Place the croissant rolls on the lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil and then with a beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.

Serve: Once ready, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
