  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon

  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup Nashville-style hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Freeze mozzarella sticks for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  • Wrap each mozzarella stick with a slice of bacon, securing with toothpicks if needed.
  • Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and seasonings.
  • Coat each bacon-wrapped stick in flour, dip in eggs, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
