Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ½ cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cucumber grated and excess moisture squeezed out
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, red onion, minced garlic, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cumin.
  • Mix the ingredients gently with your hands until just combined.
  • Scoop portions of the mixture and roll into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  • Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add meatballs in batches.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
