Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Remove the browned beef and set aside, then sauté the onion and garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
  • Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour over the vegetables, stir, and gradually add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, then return the beef to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until smooth, cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
