Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti

1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 jar (24 oz) pasta sauce

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

        Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.

          Stir in the pasta sauce, pepperoni, chopped bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

            In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce mixture, stirring well to combine.

              Transfer half of the spaghetti mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.

                Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the spaghetti layer.

                  Layer the remaining spaghetti mixture on top, followed by the rest of the cheeses.

                    Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                      Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

                        Serve hot and enjoy your unique spaghetti pizza casserole!
