Ingredients

For the Pretzel Crust:

2 cups pretzel sticks (crushed)

1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

For the Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Strawberry Topping:

2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

2 tablespoons cornstarch

3 oz strawberry Jell-O (or gelatin)

Instructions

Prepare the Pretzel Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzel sticks, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until thoroughly mixed.

        - Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form an even crust.

          - Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

            Make the Cream Cheese Layer:

              - In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.

                - Fold in the whipped topping and vanilla extract until well combined and fluffy.

                  - Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust, ensuring it reaches the edges.

                    Prepare the Strawberry Topping:

                      - In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Allow to sit for about 10 minutes, letting the strawberries release their juices.

                        - In a separate bowl, mix the water and cornstarch, then bring to a gentle boil in the saucepan, stirring constantly until thickened.

                          - Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry Jell-O until fully dissolved. Allow this mixture to cool slightly.

                            - Once cooled, pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.

                              Chill and Serve:

                                - Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.

                                  - Once firm, cut into squares, serve chilled, and enjoy this delightful and refreshing dessert!
