  • 1 cup whole milk warmed to approximately 110°F
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Combine warm milk and granulated sugar in a small bowl, sprinkle yeast, and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture until smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk flour, salt, and cinnamon, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth, then let it rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
  • Prepare caramel sauce by warming store-bought or making homemade by melting sugar and cream.
  • Punch down the risen dough, roll it out, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Distribute chopped pecans, roll tightly, and slice into 12 pieces.
  • Grease a baking dish, pour half of the caramel sauce, place rolls cut-side down, and drizzle remaining sauce on top.
