Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • ΒΌ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tea bags black tea or herbal
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 juice from orange
  • orange slices for garnish
  • whole cranberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Pour 4 cups of water into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Add cranberries and grated ginger, then simmer for 10 minutes until cranberries burst.
  • Incorporate maple syrup and cinnamon stick, simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add tea bags, steep for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags.
  • Stir in freshly squeezed orange juice and adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Strain the tea into cups or a teapot to remove solids.
  • Serve hot, garnished with orange slices and whole cranberries.
