Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Hamburger buns

Lettuce, tomato, and condiments of choice for serving

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Dijon mustard. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, ensuring they are slightly wider than your buns since they will shrink slightly while cooking.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties, cooking for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns on a separate pan or, if you prefer, in the oven until lightly golden.

To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, add the cooked chicken patty, slice fresh tomatoes, and any additional condiments you like (such as mayo or a spicy aioli).

Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot with a side of crispy fries or a fresh salad.
