Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

Whole wheat burger buns, for serving

Fresh arugula or lettuce, for topping

Tomato slices, for topping

Garlic aioli or your favorite sauce, for serving

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the chicken.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties to the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes on one side until a golden brown crust forms. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

If desired, place a slice of white cheddar on each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt slightly.

To assemble the burgers, place each chicken patty on a whole wheat bun. Top with fresh arugula or lettuce and tomato slices. Spread garlic aioli or your favorite sauce on the top bun.

Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
